In addition to offering select Healthcare Provider Courses, Health Career Institute (HCI) also conducts Degree and Non-Degree Programs for students passionate about working in the field of Public Safety.
Healthcare courses include, but are not limited to, ACLS, BLS, BTLS, PALS, NRP, HIV, and IV Therapy.

Non-Degree programs, taught by highly specialized HCI instructors, include our most prestigious EMT-Basic Certificate Program encourage professional development and prepare students for the Paramedic Certificate Program.  Both programs utilize the latest curriculum by the U.S. Department of Transportation (D.O.T)

Degree Programs, A. S in Emergency Medical Services and A. S in Fire Science, are designed for students who wish to enter the work force in a specialized field, encompassed by an atmosphere that promotes professionalism, and emphasizes quality education in a non-discriminative environment.

 Admissions - American Heart Association (AHA)

Students and professionals looking to register for Continuing Education and American Heart Association (AHA) Courses may do so by phone (561-586-0121) or via our online application form.

Online Registration:
Health Career Institute is currently accepting online registration for ACLS, BLS, BTLS, and PALS.

All other courses, (NRP, IV THERAPY, EVOK, and Flight Medic) must be queried by phone (561-586-0121), or Emailed to the Admissions Department (M.Palermo@healthcareerinstitute.com).

Admissions - Emergency Medical Service (EMS)

EMT and Paramedic prospective students are required to fill out an application available in the Admissions Office or online. EMT Students must be 18 years of age (At time of EMT State Exam) and Paramedics must have a Florida State EMT-B certificate.

  Fire Department Continuing Education Units

Fire Departments & Continuing Education Units (CEU’s)
Fire Department employees can now register with HCI to fulfill department continuing education units (CEU's) online. Once registered with our online service, students and departments can monitor progress over the years, ensuring that education hours are being met.

How does it work?

Department employees only need to search for courses by department, or codes issued by your department.  HCI will show what courses are being offered, and first time students need to register with HCI.  Once registered with us and the student is verified by the requested department, students can login to our site to registered, check course status, and view transcript information.
